2010 Acura TSX: More Power, Slightly Less Sport

2010 acura tsx v6 image The 2010 Acura TSX has received a number of updates, but the biggest update is the availability of a powerful V6 engine for the first time. Acura’s TSX is an entry level, sporty compact that previously had been powered by a high-revving four cylinder engine. When it was last redesigned, the TSX got larger, but didn’t receive a boost in power which hampered the car’s performance qualities until now.

With the V6 engine, the 2010 Acura TSX is quicker and delivers ample midrange torque. Although the car is heavier than the base model, it hasn’t lost nimbleness say test drivers at a Missouri Acura dealer  thanks to updated suspension. Overall, some among Pittsburgh Used Acura dealers say the balance is excellent with only moderate understeer characteristic of front-wheel drive cars.

The interior of the 2010 Acura TSX V6 is familiar, but it remains packed with technology and sporty, firm leather. The automatic transmission with the TSX also comes with paddle shifters which completes the sport feel according to some shopping for a new Acura Washington DC. The only negative in regards to the interior may be the rear seating accommodations, which drivers have noted are a bit cramped.

More power is usually a great idea for any premium sport sedan. With a 280 horsepower V6 engine under the hood, the Acura TSX can really move with the best of them. But combining the additional weight with the occasional understeer could make the TSX feel a little less performance oriented than many of its German counterparts. Nonetheless, in the world of compact premium sedans, the 2010 Acura TSX remains a great value.
